This study collated safety diagnosis reports and grouting performing records to analyze temporal changes in the hydraulic conductivity of reservoir embankments based on the repair and reinforcement history. Among the initially collected data, the grouting performing cycle was calculated for 58 reservoirs with confirmed histories. For 24 of these sites, for which drilling survey and permeability test results are available, we analyzed the variations in hydraulic conductivity relative to the repair and reinforcement history. The results indicate that the average period from completion of embankment construction to the first grouting was 41.4 years, while the second grouting cycle was much shorter, with an average of 8.4 years. Furthermore, the 24 reservoirs were classified into six types based on temporal trends in hydraulic conductivity. For most of the embankments, the hydraulic conductivity increased over time, leading to a decline in seepage control performance. Cases where seepage control performance appeared to increase were attributed to inconsistencies in permeability test locations or the use of limited data. The ongoing accumulation of database records is expected to enable a more precise estimation of the duration of grouting cycles and enhance the maintenance efficiency of agricultural reservoir embankments.
